Thousands of Burmese Karen people have fled their homes in terror! Their villages are burned down, their families forced to suffer rape, torture or the horror of watching a loved one brutally murdered. They travel many miles, hacking their way through the jungle - living in fear of potentially life threatening disease - or death by the most brutal regime in the world today - the Burmese Military Army whilst following a 'flush and kill policy'.
Those who do make the dangerous journey to reach the overcrowded, unsanitary camps for displaced people along the Thai/Burmese borders, face an uncertain future. Armed guards prevent them from leaving the camp in search of work. They have little option but to rely upon outside support.
